This Weißensee classic tour takes you to the Falkenstein and the Grot of Maria there. Later you will enjoy wide views of the lake-rich foothills of the Alps, the Zugspitze and many other Alpine peaks. The trail is part of the European long-distance hiking trail E4, the Violet Route of the Via Alpina and the Maximiliansweg. Treat yourself to a hiking snack on the hut terrace of the Salober Alm. From the lake Alatsee a root path leads you back to the starting point at the lake Weißensee.
After rainy days, the root paths and trails are slippery and not recommended.
Ankle-enclosing hiking boots with good tread sole absolutely necessary. Hiking poles recommended!
