Hiking trail from Ofterschwang via Ofterschwanger Horn and Sigiswang

This tour begins and ends in Ofterschwang and takes you via Alpe Eck, Ofterschwanger Horn and past the Sigiswanger Horn. Amazing views along the Hörnerkette and nice alpine huts that offer food and refreshments.

The trail leads from the parking area of the cable car Ofterschwang behind the primary school and the kindergarten up towards the Alpe Eck (no refreshments available). Once on top, from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the entire valley of the Iller, the route takes you left along the Panorama trail up to the Weltcup-Hütte where you can enjoy a refreshments and a spectacular view from the terrace. The trail continues past the Ofterschwanger Horn to the Fahnengehren Alpe (alpine hut culitvated during the summer months). Then it's about 1.2 km further on the way to below the Rangiswanger Horn. Here, the route turns left down towards the valley. You go past the Kahlrückenalpe to Sigiswang where you reach the Hochwiesweg to the left, which once again offers beautiful views of Ofterschwang and the surrounding villages, and return back to the starting point.

Refreshments: at the base station you will find the Schlitte Hitte, the Pizzeria Cortina and the Wurzel Hütte. At the mountain station there is the Weltcup Hütte and between the Ofterschwanger Horn and the Sigiswanger Horn you will find the Fahnengehren Alpe.

Ofterschwang is located on the edge of the Nature Park Nagelfluhkette. A Nature Park is a protected landscape created by long-term use and cultivation. This valuable cultural landscape is to be preserved in its present form, but at the same time also to be used.
