The starting point is the city of Füssen with its interesting old town, before the imposing royal castles are reached on cycle paths near Hohenschwangau. On your next journey along the Ammer Mountains, a sacred highlight awaits you with the UNESCO World Heritage pilgrimage church in der Wies. As you continue along former railway lines and quiet side streets, you reach the northern castle park, which is characterized by rural agriculture and has lively small towns and idyllic villages. At Gennach you reach the northernmost point of the circuit and then follow the course of the Alpine river Wertach, largely on water-bound paths, past the Kneipp health resort of Bad Wörishofen. Unique Alpine panoramas and characteristic villages mark your further route south to Nesselwang. In the forefront of the mountains, you return to Füssen along the beautiful Weißensee. The Schlosspark Runde in the Allgäu with a total length of 219 km is divided into five stages, which are also easy to cycle for leisure cyclists. This means that individual sections from the overall circuit can be put together however you like. There are also two possible shortcuts, although they are not signposted! Shortcut from Helmishofen via Kaufbeuren and Irsee to Eggenthal. Shortcut from Stötten a.A. via Bertoldshofen, Marktoberdorf and Leuterschach to Oberthingau.

The long-distance cycle path starts in Füssen and continues via Halblech and the Wieskirche (UNESCO World Heritage Site) to Steingaden, Lechbruck am See and Stötten a.A. From there it continues via Rettenbach to Ingenried, Aufkirch and Waal. The route then continues via Buchloe and Ettringen to Türkheim, Bad Wörishofen and Baisweil. From Baisweil you can reach Unterthingau, Görisried and Nesselwang via Eggenthal, Friesenried and Aitrang. From there it goes back to Füssen via Pfronten.
