This loop goes through the idyllic Günztal, a cultural landscape with streams, meadows and moors that provide habitats for rare animal and plant species. The Günz itself is the longest stream system in Bavaria. What an imposing builder the water is, becomes especially apparent with the Teufelsküche (Devil's Kitchen). The geotope from the last Ice Age impresses with boulders as high as houses in the middle of the forest. There is an eerie legend to go with it. Not far away is the listed Schlossmühle Liebenthann, where you can stop and rest.

From the hikers' car park, take the Dillinger Weg past the Reverdys spring to Ronsberg. From there you reach the Devil's Kitchen geotope on the eastern side of the Günz. At the car park with the mill wheel, we cross the state road and keep left after the Liebenthann mill. We reach our starting point via the footpath and cycle path.

Supplies: Take plenty of water to drink. A snack tastes especially good on the way.

Weather check: Check various services and ask locals who know the mountains.

Weather check: It is best to check various services and ask local people who know the mountains, as it can quickly rain or thunderstorm in the mountains.

Accompaniment: You should not go on a major tour alone, even if it seems easy and harmless. Always leave your destination in your holiday accommodation or at home.

With good, well-broken-in hiking boots, you will be safe and blister-free. When it comes to clothing, it's best to wear a short and a long shirt (cotton doesn't dry well, so it's better to wear wool or special sportswear), zip-up trousers, a jumper, a jacket and a rain cape. A change of clothes, headgear, sunglasses, sunscreen, bandages and a torch should also be in your rucksack.
